"I was sent confirmation that I had a Mercedes booked and on the night before the supplier was changed and I got a Prius. I paid £130 up front and then was asked to pay for the £6 additional for the drop off and told it would be the same for the pick up. This was not In The terms of business and seems pretty cheeky trying to slip this in the night before pick up with the new supplier. Can I ask why you allocate a driver and then the company then sub it out to a company for a cheaper fee. The Croydon cars company confirmed they had been paid £103 - I paid £130 plus the drop of charges £6. Can I ask if you will refund me the difference? I refused to pay the pick up charge of £6 on the return journey as I was given a fixed price by you. Feedback there is no point allocating a car on booking if you are then going to disappoint. I would be interest to know what happened and why. "

The plane was 90 minutes delayed, but this info was available before 7.30, for a scheduled 10 pm departure. Your driver was supposed to track the flight and collect me in the arrival area. I was unable to contact anyone for helping was just left stranded at the airport, as a 70 year old lady travelling alone, this was very disturbing. I end up having to take a very expensive airport taxi and arrived at my destination after 2am!! Disgusted and disappointed!!"

We were unable to contact the driver due to poor signal, so the passengers had to pay for an alterative transfer to get home. Once we received communication from the driver, he was very rude! "The taxi firm (Sohocabs) rang me 3.5 hrs before they were due to say they would be at least 20 mins , probably 30 late because of a prior booking. The venue were closing when the cab was due so we were faced with being outside in the rain for at least 20 minutes. I pointed out we had tried to cancel the booking a week before because of changed arrangements but were told we would still be charged 90% of the fee. We stuck with the booking only to be told of the delay. The caller put the phone down on me as I was questioning the delay. We had to ring back and negotiate for another driver. He was on time, and was polite , so no complaints about him, but overall service was poor and annoying. You need to guarantee a timely service if you have such a limited cancellation policy. "

"I would like to make a complaint about the time myself and my elderly mother had to wait for your taxi at Gatwick airport. I received a WhatsApp message to say that the driver was running 30-40 minutes late due to a delay of a previous customer’s flight. In reality this was an hour and 10 minutes late that we were waiting by the side of the road for. When the taxi had finally arrived, he rang and asked us to meet him in a lower level - I found this quite insulting as were then expected to carry our cases to a destination, when the agreement was to meet us with a name card at the airport. I did not want ti put my mother through further walking to a destination we didn’t know and so the driver agreed to park and walk to meet us. I understand that a delay in flights may cause a slight delay, however a 70 minute wait to just travel to Epsom is completely unacceptable and the clear falsehood of saying it would just be a 30 minute wait is very poor service. Furthermore, the fact that I had to pay an extra £10 for moving my taxi booking to Gatwick from 5.30am to 6am and yet I have been offered no compensation from the driver is quite unjust. I expect to be reimbursed or part reimbursed for not receiving the service that I booked. "

We used TaxiCode in Rome and London neither time were they even close to being on time. We paid for an S Class Mercedes and neither time provided with the paid for car. I called the service number in Rome and the guy that answered the phone was the nastiest and rudest person ever. The car in London was the smallest Mercedes I've ever seen and could Hardly fit in the back seat. There are many other services out there. I would recommend that you never use TaxiCode and I will never use them again."

"I did not meet the driver at all. It says the drive was completed but it wasn’t at all. My plane was delayed and landed at 1am UK time, we didn’t get on the bus for another half an hour and then we didn’t get through the checks for another half an hour and when I got out of the north terminal the driver was no where to be seen. I spend half an hour walking around trying to find him and asking other drivers and services if they were him or if they knew where soho drivers might be but I found nothing. I tried to get a hotel but I couldn’t check in so late so as a young girl on my own that late I had to get another taxi that cost me another 90 euros. I want a refund of the 68 pounds I spent for a driver who I never found. "

"The trip from Gatwick to London (Acton) with driver Umar Rana was perfect. He was polite and efficient, and the car was great. However, the return trip from Acton to Gatwick with driver Stephen Isaacs was not good at all. He didn't take the most direct route to the airport, he seemed to be taking strange detours all the time around several London neighbourhoods, although there was no traffic at all (he picked us up at 4:30 am). He drove in an unnaturally slow manner, It was really unnerving. I won't use Taxicode again. "

"I had ordered a 12 seater Minibus and only by chance I called the office the day before to ask a question that had not been answered at the point of booking. The question was in regards to a child seat being requested, I was informed that this would be £5, later I was offered it for free after challenging this for a while. Only afterwards on the ending of the call did it come out casually that 1 large Mercedes & a car would be assigned to collect and take 9 persons to the airport. I was not pleased as we has also lots of suitcases and hence a 12 seater minibus was required. This should have been communicated with me, but I see this as a major failing to see what the client thought of these changes? The trip was a very uncomfortable one after the drivers struggled with loading our cases and then squashed up 6 persons in one vehicle and the other car when with 3 persons. I'm actually recovering from back surgery and this caused me no end of discomfort onwards to my plane trip for my father's funeral. I want the owner to acknowledge this and offer apologise. I will require another booking but won't be using this company. "

"Driver took a wrong turn and realised as he was on the slip road off of the A24 to go on to the M25. He stopped on the layby and tried to reverse back up the slip-road to get back on to the round-about. I had to ask him twice not to do so as it was not a safe maneuver. "Good morning, We booked a taxi early this morning at 3:25am to take us to Gatwick Airport for a flight leaving just after 6am. This would have given us ample time to go through baggage drop off, passport check and security. However, the driver showed up at 3:45, 20 minutes late to a 40 minute journey. We then drove around the local neighbourhood for another 10 minutes before re-routing us to the highway. The car that showed up was a Toyota Prius, not a sedan or saloon. I am over 6ft tall and my head was against the roof at all times. We could have booked a much cheaper Uber. We did not receive any apology or even recognition of the massive delay, even after calling the driver at 3:35am or us mentioning that we’re cutting it very short. This caused us a tremendous amount of stress that could have been easily avoided. We only barely caught our flight after being led through security as a priority due to the tardiness. We therefore want to request a part refund of the service that you provided us, as we don’t feel this was acceptable. I look forward hearing from you, Regards, Charles De Coster"

"I would like to make a complaint about the time myself and my elderly mother had to wait for your taxi at Gatwick airport. I received a WhatsApp message to say that the driver was running 30-40 minutes late due to a delay of a previous customer’s flight. In reality this was an hour and 10 minutes late that we were waiting by the side of the road for. When the taxi had finally arrived, he rang and asked us to meet him in a lower level - I found this quite insulting as were then expected to carry our cases to a destination, when the agreement was to meet us with a name card at the airport. I did not want ti put my mother through further walking to a destination we didn’t know and so the driver agreed to park and walk to meet us. I understand that a delay in flights may cause a slight delay, however a 70 minute wait to just travel to Epsom is completely unacceptable and the clear falsehood of saying it would just be a 30 minute wait is very poor service. Furthermore, the fact that I had to pay an extra £10 for moving my taxi booking to Gatwick from 5.30am to 6am and yet I have been offered no compensation from the driver is quite unjust. I expect to be reimbursed or part reimbursed for not receiving the service that I booked. "

Ended up with 2 tiny vehicles in which people were squeezed, 2 people almost threw up because they were facing backwards, and which would have cost us at least £150 less if we had booked the separate cars ourselves. The drivers were nice and on time, it was not their fault. Taxicode shouldn't be charging for vehicles they cannot provide. Avoid at all costs."

"The trip from Gatwick to London (Acton) with driver Umar Rana was perfect. He was polite and efficient, and the car was great. However, the return trip from Acton to Gatwick with driver Stephen Isaacs was not good at all. He didn't take the most direct route to the airport, he seemed to be taking strange detours all the time around several London neighbourhoods, although there was no traffic at all (he picked us up at 4:30 am). He drove in an unnaturally slow manner, It was really unnerving. I won't use Taxicode again. "

"I had ordered a 12 seater Minibus and only by chance I called the office the day before to ask a question that had not been answered at the point of booking. The question was in regards to a child seat being requested, I was informed that this would be £5, later I was offered it for free after challenging this for a while. Only afterwards on the ending of the call did it come out casually that 1 large Mercedes & a car would be assigned to collect and take 9 persons to the airport. I was not pleased as we has also lots of suitcases and hence a 12 seater minibus was required. This should have been communicated with me, but I see this as a major failing to see what the client thought of these changes? The trip was a very uncomfortable one after the drivers struggled with loading our cases and then squashed up 6 persons in one vehicle and the other car when with 3 persons. I'm actually recovering from back surgery and this caused me no end of discomfort onwards to my plane trip for my father's funeral. I want the owner to acknowledge this and offer apologise. I will require another booking but won't be using this company. "

"Driver took a wrong turn and realised as he was on the slip road off of the A24 to go on to the M25. He stopped on the layby and tried to reverse back up the slip-road to get back on to the round-about. I had to ask him twice not to do so as it was not a safe maneuver. We went on to the M25 and took the next junction, and we arrived safely. I had been up for 27hours so was very sleepy but I'm grateful I managed to stay awake. I'd rather the journey took a little longer but we all arrived safely. "

He was then 12 minutes late and struggled to find my house despite detailed instructions, no other driver has had a problem. He offered me a discount, but that doesn't make up for the fact that there was no time to have breakfast as planned at the aiport due to his late arrival. I run on a tight schedule and expect drivers to be one time. Unless there is a guarantee of on time service from you I won't be using you again."

Only thing was that the Mercedes boot was too small for 2 large cases (we were away for a fortnight), and he ended up putting a suitcase on the front passenger seat. He asked me to call him when we had our luggage I did this and said on our way and he called me again to ask where was I. He was ok and car fine but tbh it wasn’t a meet and greet like requested and we loaded our cases into the car. I would have tipped if we had been met but paying £113 already for the journey and had to find cab no tip "

"Good morning, We booked a taxi early this morning at 3:25am to take us to Gatwick Airport for a flight leaving just after 6am. This would have given us ample time to go through baggage drop off, passport check and security. However, the driver showed up at 3:45, 20 minutes late to a 40 minute journey. We then drove around the local neighbourhood for another 10 minutes before re-routing us to the highway. The car that showed up was a Toyota Prius, not a sedan or saloon. I am over 6ft tall and my head was against the roof at all times. We could have booked a much cheaper Uber. We did not receive any apology or even recognition of the massive delay, even after calling the driver at 3:35am or us mentioning that we’re cutting it very short. This caused us a tremendous amount of stress that could have been easily avoided. We only barely caught our flight after being led through security as a priority due to the tardiness. We therefore want to request a part refund of the service that you provided us, as we don’t feel this was acceptable. I look forward hearing from you, Regards, Charles De Coster"

He tried to make up time by asking us to meet him at the long stay car park (which would have involved leaving the terminal with lots of luggage and two kids in tow. We resisted and he drove up to the short stay car park. "

"After a slightly shaky start due to poor phone signal at my end, the taxi firm arranged a back up car and got us to the Ritz on time. The driver was very friendly and managed to avoid the worst of the traffic. Great service all round. Thank you. "

"I was very disappointed in the pick up booked for 6 45. Arrived 7.10pm. Got into the car and it smelled of wet dog. 2 passengers had cushions to sit in. The driver had his mobile phone in his hand quite often putting it on charge. However the pick up at 9.30pm was perfect. Lovely car. Very pleasant driver. Wonderful drive. Would recommend. Unfortunately due to the first trip I would not choose to use Soho Cars again. "

"Our driver did not turn up. When we telephoned after 15 mins of waiting, we were told that no taxi was coming. We offered to walk to a meeting point but were told that there would be no point. We were not informed when booking, that the roads would be closed for NYE. We are Pensioners and had to walk two miles in the early hours of the morning. This was the worst taxi experience of our lives."
"We had timely pick ups for both journeys from T5 to Mottingham & return. T5 to Mottingham took almost 2 hours!! Mottingham to T5 took just 70mins - I suppose traffic @ 0530hrs is a lot less than mid morning traffic!! Soho Cars & their drivers were very good. Gordon Patterson."
